How many times have you opened your fridge to find just cabbage left and thought, “shoot, I need to order a take away”? If your answer is many, I’d like to introduce you to this simple 4-ingredient Thai style stir fried cabbage.
When my siblings and I were still in school, my mom used to make this dish for breakfast a lot because it was easy, healthy, and we loved it. (I know it might sound weird in some cultures, but Asian people do eat rice with Asian vegetable stir fries for breakfast. After all, those stir fries are Asian for a reason, you know? 😂)
Why do I say this dish is easy? Because it requires only four ingredients and takes less than 10 minutes to make. Apart from cabbage which is so obvious, you’ll need just cooking oil, garlic, and soy sauce. As we’re not using any animal products in this dish, it’s indeed a vegan stir-fry. I’m so pleased that all the vegetarian and vegan home cooks out there will be able to use this recipe!
As much as it’s tasty, this cabbage stir fry is perfect for those evenings you fancy a fresh home-cooked meal after a long day at work. And because it’s best with rice, you might want to cook some rice before starting with the stir fry so they’re ready at the same time. I guarantee you’ll love the combo!Print
