How many times have you opened your fridge to find just cabbage left and thought, “shoot, I need to order a take away”? If your answer is many, I’d like to introduce you to this simple 4-ingredient Thai style stir fried cabbage.
When my siblings and I were still in school, my mom used to make this dish for breakfast a lot because it was easy, healthy, and we loved it. (I know it might sound weird in some cultures, but Asian people do eat rice with Asian vegetable stir fries for breakfast. After all, those stir fries are Asian for a reason, you know? 😂)
Why do I say this dish is easy? Because it requires only four ingredients and takes less than 10 minutes to make. Apart from cabbage which is so obvious, you’ll need just cooking oil, garlic, and soy sauce. As we’re not using any animal products in this dish, it’s indeed a vegan stir-fry. I’m so pleased that all the vegetarian and vegan home cooks out there will be able to use this recipe!
As much as it’s tasty, this cabbage stir fry is perfect for those evenings you fancy a fresh home-cooked meal after a long day at work. 4-Ingredient Thai Stir-Fried Cabbage – Vegan and Healthy
A quick and easy Thai style cabbage stir fry that is healthy and delicious.
- Prep Time: 10 minutes
- Cook Time: 10 minutes
- Total Time: 20 minutes
- Yield: 2 servings 1x
- Cuisine: Thai
- ½ tablespoon cooking oil
- ½ tablespoon garlic, smashed
- 1 head cabbage (about 270 grams), chopped
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- Add oil to a stir fry pan and heat over medium heat.
- Add garlic and stir until it starts to turn golden.
- Toss in the cabbage and stir to get it coated in oil and garlic.
- Season with soy sauce and keep stirring until the cabbage is done. Remove from heat to plate and serve.
