Halloween Spider Web Carrot Soup: Easy Halloween Dish

Are you looking for an easy Halloween recipe? If so, then look no further because I've got you covered with this Halloween spiderweb carrot soup!

For those of you who celebrate Halloween, you can't deny that spooky food is an important part of this celebration. With Covid around, this year's Halloween might feel a lot different. In many places, people won't be able to have a gathering, party, or even take children out trick or treating on Halloween.

On the other hand, if you are not in a country with a bad Covid situation and are allowed to party or get together with your friends or family, you may have been looking for Halloween party food ideas. Even if you're still in an area with lockdown, you may have also been looking for some Halloween dinner ideas for your family.

a cup of soup with a spiderweb made with cream

So this is an easy Halloween dish for you: Spooky Halloween Carrot Soup with a Spiderweb. This soup is creamy, healthy, and delicious. Using only basic and healthy ingredients, this soup is perfect for both kids and adults. Plus there's not much cleaning up to do afterward. What's not to like about it?

Though I've kind of created a Halloween theme for this carrot soup with a spiderweb, you don't really have to wait until Halloween to make this recipe. I can assure you that this soup can be enjoyed at any time of the year, even with a spiderweb. 🙂

    Video Tutorial

    Ingredients

chicken stock, potato, carrots, garlic, onions, ground pepper, salt, and heavy cream
    • 2 carrot, about 16.1 ounces or 457 grams
    • 2 onions, about 9.3 ounces or 263 grams
    • 1 potato, about 7.2 ounces or 203 grams
    • 3 cloves of garlic
    • 1 cup of water
    • 2 ½ cups of chicken stock
    • 1 teaspoon of salt
    • 1 teaspoon of ground pepper

    Spider Web Cream Garnish

    • ¼ cup of heavy cream
two cups of vegetable creamy and healthy soup with a spiderweb

    Instructions

    1. Peel and the carrots, onions, potato, and garlic.
    2. Set a pot on medium heat and add the water and chicken stock.
    3. Cut the carrots, onions, and potato into chunks, then add them all with the garlic to the pot. Simmer for about 40 minutes or until the vegetables are soft, stirring occasionally.
    4. When the vegetables are soft, season the soup with salt and pepper and stir. You can add the pepper later if you are cooking this dish for kids as well.
    5. Turn off the heat and use a hand blender to puree the soup. (I love this hand blender - it comes with a turbo function that's so good!)
    6. Once the soup has reached your preferred consistency, it is done.
    7. Split the soup into 3 cups.
a cup of soup garnished with cream

How to Garnish Your Soup with a Cream Spiderweb

    1. Drizzle heavy cream in the pattern of a spiral on top of the soup.
    2. Draw 8 lines from the center to the edge of each cup with a skewer to create a spiderweb.
