Strawberry Hojich Latte
My homemade strawberry hojicha latte is a quick little pick-me-up drink you can make on a hot summer day. This drink combines the flavors of fresh strawberries, almond milk, and aromatic hojicha tea. Not only is it tasty but it's also pretty, making it perfect to make for your guests and friends!

In a small container, add strawberries and granulated sugar and mash them with a muddler. Make sure the sugar is thoroughly dissolved and mixed with the strawberries. Set aside. Add hojicha powder to a small bowl. Pour in warm water and whisk vigorously from side to side with a bamboo whisk until smooth. In a glass, add the strawberry sauce to the bottom.
Fill the glass with ice cubes.
Pour in milk, leaving about ¼ of the glass for the hojicha.
Pour the hojicha over the milk and ice. Stir to enjoy.
- Do not use boiling water as it can make your hojicha bitter.
- If you don't have a bamboo whisk, you can use a milk frother to mix hojicha powder with water.
