- 2 carrots about 16.1 ounces or 457 grams
- 2 onions about 9.3 ounces or 263 grams
- 1 potato about 7.2 ounces or 203 grams
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 cup water
- 2 ½ cups chicken stock
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground paper
Peel and the carrots, onions, potato, and garlic.
Set a pot on medium heat and add the water and chicken stock.
Cut the carrots, onions, and potato into chunks, then add them all with the garlic to the pot. Simmer for about 40 minutes or until the vegetables are soft, stirring occasionally.
When the vegetables are soft, season the soup with salt and pepper and stir. You can add the pepper later if you are cooking this dish for kids as well.
Turn off the heat and use a hand blender to puree the soup. (I love this hand blender - it comes with a turbo function that's so good!) Once the soup has reached your preferred consistency, it is done.
Split the soup into 3 cups.
Drizzle heavy cream in the pattern of a spiral on top of the soup.
Draw 8 lines from the center to the edge of each cup with a skewer to create a spiderweb.
